Summarize Written Text
Exactly one sentence, 5-75 words, joining the main points with 'and' or 'while'.
The rule
- 1Find the main idea of each paragraph — usually the first or last sentence.
- 2Join them into ONE sentence. Two sentences score zero for form.
- 3Use one comma and one connector: 'Although …, the study found …'.
- 4Count the words. Under 5 or over 75 scores zero.
Worked example
A passage on remote work productivity.
- Point 1: output rose
- Point 2: collaboration fell
- Join with 'although'
Answer: Although remote work raised individual output, the study found that team collaboration declined.
